Bulk cargo at the Port of Split includes a wide range of goods such as scrap metal, slag, green petroleum coke, calcite, salt, sugar, and many other commodities.

General Cargo
At the Port of Split, we offer secure and efficient handling of general cargo. Our professional approach to each cargo ensures optimal distribution both nationally and internationally.
We regularly handle sheets, iron profiles, wire coils, steel rods, big bag sacks, stone blocks, as well as heavy cargo such as yachts, crane parts, and wind turbines (up to 150 tons).
Services include:
• Loading/unloading of trucks, railcars, and containers
• Precise handling of breakbulk cargo with the help of heavy machinery

• Draft: up to 10.3 m
Liquid Cargo – Bitumen
Bitumen, used for road paving and other infrastructure projects, represents a significant part of the trade exchange. The Port of Split ensures the safe and uninterrupted transfer of bitumen from tankers to land-based destinations, supporting infrastructure projects both nationally and internationally.
Handling Method:
• Direct transfer from ship to cargo vehicle
• Capacity expansion is underway; model ship – barge – vehicle

Containers
Container transport, as the dominant form of global trade, plays a key role at the Port of Split. At the container terminal, covering over 15,000 m², our team of experts handles containers with the highest standards of safety and precision, ensuring fast and seamless cargo transshipment. The strategic location and multimodal connections make the Port of Split an important destination for container traffic in the Adriatic.

• Container and cargo storage
• Customized handling of various goods within the container traffic framework

Ro-Ro terminal
The Port of Split provides specialized services for Ro-Ro cargo, including the reception and distribution of personal vehicles, trucks, and industrial machinery, ensuring fast and secure logistics for all types of vehicle transportation. At Berth No. 5, there is a specialized Ro-Ro ramp that allows horizontal loading and unloading of vehicles and equipment, further enhancing operational flexibility and speed.
